The Annual Anacortes Arts Festival is back for the 61st year! This event takes place on Commercial Ave in Anacortes, WA August 5-7th.
This is one of the most popular events in Anacortes, every year!
This year, there are over 250 vendor booths both selling and actively working on their art. There are booths with a variety of mediums including, painting, photography, jewelry, clothing, ceramics, glass, wood, metal, and more. Among the art vendors, are food vendors including, pizza, sausages, salmon, and ethnic favorites like Tai and Greek!
On-stage Entertainment
As you stroll the street sipping a drink, snacking on a hotdog, and admiring the art filling the senses, you will be kept company by music and dancing on one of the two stages. The main stage hosts its main event on Friday night featuring the talented dancers from Fidalgo Danceworks. Saturday the Anacortes Music Project will fill the air with sounds from local musicians. Throughout the weekend, the Main stage will present surprise performers from ACT Theatre. You are sure to be delighted by whatever talent is offered at any point of your day at the main stage of the Anacortes Arts Festival. Not to be overlooked, the Jazz stage will keep your toe tapping all weekend, the beer garden will delight, and artists in action will keep you fascinated.
Where does the money go?
The festival has a mission of more than just selling handcrafted arts. “The festival is the largest supporter of the arts in Skagit County. We give back to the community through grants, collaborative projects, and arts education support for students.” Anacortes Arts Festival Volunteers
